Nominate Your Favorite Email Programs - The 2011 Readers' Choice Awards

Nominate Your Favorite Email Programs, Services and Innovations — The 2011 Readers' Choice AwardsSomething that produces electricity when heated it was not; when Bruce Cook, Alan Russell and their fellow researchers at the Ames Laboratory tried to curl, cut and carve their newly crafted material, they found something else, though: it wouldn't.
Dubbed BAM, the alloy from boron, aluminum and magnesium is exceptionally hard — if you can get a hold of it: BAM is also super slippery with less friction than, say, graphite, diamond or teflon.
Now, that's from 1999 and slippery; what's from 2010/11 and sticky? To what email programs and services do you cling? What new email features will you remember?
›› Nominate the best email products in categories including free email services, email programs, mobile email, e-card sites and social network messaging.

Swan - Free Email Stationery Download and E-Card

Swan - Free Email Stationery Download and E-CardI saw a swan recently. It swam, but only with one leg. The other was tucked under its right wing.
One theory tells me something was wrong with the swan's temperature. Not covered by feathers, a swan's feet and legs are its air conditioning: they lose heat like a human's head, hand and feet; they soak up the sun like a lizard's back.
The swans in this stationery don't look cold — but their surroundings sure do:

Import Contacts to Yahoo! Mail from Gmail, Facebook, etc.

When you become famous and people start to admire you, "tear off your garments" and hurtle your best Archimedes impersonation through the streets. If some still follow you around and call you teacher or guru, do this: "drive them away, striking them with your fists and pelting them with clods of earth and stones".
When Dio Chrysostom commanded that some 2000 years ago, he did not know Archimedes, of course, or Brian from Nazareth. He knew, though, that giving in to the lures of fame makes you a vassal to that passion — and to whatever could bring or threaten it. You're not free any more, and free you should be.
Your address book should also be free, of course; free from any individual email service and network; free to follow you around, say to Yahoo! Mail:

How to Disable Google Buzz in Gmail

Pick a number between 2 and 9. Say it out loud. Now start counting, also aloud: "One".
It's my turn: "Two". Now, whenever we reach a multiple of the number you picked, we'll not say that number. We'll shout "Buzz!" instead. All right?
Let's say you picked 3: 1, 2, Buzz!, 4, 5, Buzz!, 7, 8, Buzz!, 10, 11, twe... Oh, looks like I'm out — out, out as Buzz can be out of Gmail:
